Soil Carbon and Nitrogen Characteristics and Influencing Factors in Different Vegetation Restoration Patterns in Abandoned Quarries

  • 摘要: 探究废弃采石场植被恢复过程中不同植被模式的土壤碳、氮特征及其影响因素, 可为生态修复树种的选择、矿山固碳增汇目标的实现提供参考依据。以渭北"旱腰带"富平-蒲城段6个人工治理废弃采石场中的刺槐林、侧柏林、白皮松林为对象, 选取典型样地, 结合方差分析、皮尔逊(Pearson)相关性分析和冗余分析等方法, 探讨不同植被类型在不同微地形下土壤有机碳(SOC)和全氮(TN)含量的变化特征与影响因素。结果表明: 3种植被类型的SOC和TN均具有明显表聚现象, 复垦平台高于边坡。刺槐林的SOC和TN含量显著高于侧柏林和白皮松林(P < 0.05), 2种针叶林之间没有显著差异(P>0.05);除平台0~20 cm土壤外, 侧柏林的碳氮比(C/N)均显著低于另外2种植被类型(P < 0.05)。复垦地的土壤偏紧实, 砾石含量高, 普遍偏碱性且养分较匮乏, 其中0~20 cm土层pH值的解释量为9.6%, 是该层土壤碳、氮含量的主要限制因子, >20~40 cm土层容重的解释量为11.6%, 是该层土壤碳、氮含量的主要限制因子。研究区废弃采石场面临着复杂的自然胁迫条件, 进行土地复垦时应充分考虑土壤碳、氮的影响因素, 可优先选择刺槐等优势树种, 同时还要加强对废弃边坡的治理。

     

    Abstract: Exploring soil carbon and nitrogen characteristics and influencing factors of different vegetation patterns during vegetation restoration in abandoned quarries, and provide a reference basis for the selection of tree species in ecological restoration and achieving carbon sequestration and enhancement in mining areas. Taking the Robinia pseudoacacia forest, Platycladus orientalis forest and Pinus bungeana forest in six artificially managed abandoned quarries in the Fuping-Pucheng section of the Weibei "Drought Belt" as the research objects, the typical sample plots were selected, combining with the methods of analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson's correlation analysis and redundant analysis (RDA), to explore the change characteristics and influencing factors of soil organic carbon (SOC) and total nitrogen (TN) contents of different vegetation restoration types under different micro-topographies. The results show that: The SOC and TN of all three vegetation restoration types had obvious surface aggregation phenomenon, with reclaimed platforms higher than slopes. Robinia pseudoacacia forest had significantly higher SOC and TN contents than Platycladus orientalis forest and Pinus bungeana forest (P < 0.05), while there were no significant differences between the two coniferous forests (P>0.05); C/N ratio of Platycladus orientalis forest was significantly lower (P < 0.05) than that of the other two vegetation types, except for the 0-20 cm soil of the platforms. The soil of the reclaimed land is compact, gravelly, generally alkaline and nutrient-poor, the explanatory rate of pH value in the 0-20 cm soil layer is 9.6%, which is the main limiting factor for carbon and nitrogen contents in this layer, the explanatory rate of soil bulk density in the >20-40 cm soil layer is 11.6%, which is the main limiting factor for carbon and nitrogen contents in this layer. Abandoned quarries in the study area are subject to complex natural stress conditions. During land reclamation, full consideration should be given to the factors affecting soil carbon and nitrogen, and dominant species such as Robinia pseudoacacia should be prioritized. Meanwhile, efforts should be intensified to strengthen the management of abandoned slopes.
