Abstract: Systematically, the paper introduces the nature reserve science based on the following basic theories and principles of landscape ecology: landscape stucture and function principle, landscape heterogeneity theory, landscape pattern theory, hierarchy scale theory, disturbance theory, biological diversity principle, and landscape stability theory.
