Abstract: The conservation of crop genetic resources and their wild relatives is one of the most important issues for human today. This paper mainly deals with following four aspects :1. the formation and development of crops in relation to their wild relatives; 2. the conservation of wild relatives of crops in situ ; 3. the conservation of wild relatives of crops ex situ ; 4. The prospects for conservation of wild relatives of crops.
