Abstract: In this paper the relationship between the population density and the growth of Eichhornia crassipes was discussed.The intrinsic rate of natural increase, the carrying capacity and the optimum population density have been taken as the scientific basis and measures of highly effective ecological engineering for purifying wast water by the plant.
